General
What BrainBoost is, how it works, and what content it covers.
BrainBoost is an online platform that connects students with past exam question papers and detailed solutions. Sellers, usually tutors or academic professionals, upload question papers and solutions, and students can purchase access to study materials for their courses and exams.
Sellers upload past question papers and detailed solutions to the platform. Students browse the marketplace, then pay via Orange Money or MTN Mobile Money to access individual solutions.
Browsing question papers is free. Access to paid solutions requires a purchase. Sellers earn from approved content after BrainBoost deducts its platform commission.
BrainBoost supports universities, secondary schools, and professional entrance examinations in Cameroon. Content is organized into Secondary School Exams, University Course Exams, and Entrance Exams such as concours.
BrainBoost is currently available as an Android app on the Google Play Store and as a full-featured website at www.mybrainboostapp.com. An iOS app is not yet available. If you use an iPhone, you can access every feature through the website — browse papers, purchase solutions with Mobile Money, and manage your account. We are exploring an iOS release in the future.
Yes, the website is exclusively for sellers. Students must use the Android app to purchase and access solutions. The website does not support student purchases or content access.
The platform interface is currently in English. Content is available in both English and French depending on the institution and exam type, reflecting Cameroon's bilingual education system.
Prices are set by sellers and vary by paper. You pay per solution with no subscriptions, hidden fees, or recurring charges. All prices are in Central African Francs (XAF) and payment is through MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money.
For Students
Purchases, access periods, refunds, and reviews.
Open the solution you want, choose Purchase, and complete payment with Orange Money or MTN Mobile Money. Access is granted after payment confirmation.
Refunds depend on the issue. Defective content, duplicate charges, and technical access failures are the main eligible cases. See the Refund Policy page for the exact rules and review timing.
If content is removed by an administrator for policy reasons, BrainBoost preserves student access according to the applicable moderation and refund rules. If you are affected and need help, use the Contact page or the in-app support flow.
Yes. After purchasing a solution, you can leave a star rating and a written review. Sellers may respond to those reviews.
For Sellers
Applications, uploads, earnings, payouts, and moderation.
Submit an application through the Become a Seller page, including your details, qualifications, and motivation. Once approved by an administrator, your account is created and you receive login credentials.
From the seller dashboard, upload a new question paper or solution, choose the correct category first, complete the required category-specific details, and upload the PDF. All submissions go through review before publication. Solutions must be linked to an existing question paper.
When students purchase your solutions, you earn the sale amount minus the platform commission. Earnings accumulate in your seller account and can later be requested as payouts.
Sellers earn a one-time bonus the first time each question paper they uploaded is published on the platform. If a paper is later unpublished and re-published, the incentive is not granted again. The incentive amount is set by BrainBoost and may change over time. Incentive earnings are added to the seller wallet and count toward available payout balance.
Open the Earnings page, choose Request Payout, enter an eligible amount, provide your mobile money number, and confirm. Funds are sent to your MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money account after processing.
Yes. In the seller review area, you can read reviews left on your solutions and reply to them. Replies appear alongside the original review for students to see.
Warnings are logged and communicated with reasons. Suspended accounts are restricted to the profile page until the suspension ends or an administrator restores access. Banned accounts remain restricted permanently. When a seller account is suspended or banned, their published solutions are also removed from the marketplace for the duration of the restriction. Content is restored when the account is restored. If you believe an action was issued in error, use the Contact page.
Yes. Sellers are prompted to change their auto-generated password on first login and can later update it again from the profile page.
Account & Security
Profile ownership, deletion, suspension visibility, and safe payments.
Only you can edit your personal profile information such as name, email, and phone number. Administrators cannot modify those personal details; they can only perform moderation actions.
Only you can request deletion of your account. Administrators cannot delete user accounts. A 30-day grace period applies so you can cancel the request before anonymization happens.
You receive the suspension reason and timeline, and your access is limited to your profile page. Suspension details remain visible there. If an end date was set, the account is restored automatically once that date passes.
A banned account has no access to platform features. If you think the ban was made in error, use the Contact page.
BrainBoost does not store your mobile money credentials. Payment processing is handled through secure third-party payment infrastructure.
BrainBoost retains a platform commission on each solution sale. The platform fee is calculated as a percentage of the sale price and is always rounded up to the nearest whole franc (XAF). The remaining amount goes to the seller. The commission rate is set by BrainBoost and may be updated from time to time. You can always see the current rate in your seller dashboard.
Content & Reviews
Moderation standards, categories, and review handling.
All uploaded papers and solutions go through administrative review. Content that violates guidelines, such as copyright infringement, low-quality material, or inappropriate uploads, may be flagged, removed, or lead to moderation actions. Sellers can resubmit flagged content with corrections.
BrainBoost organizes papers into Secondary School, University Course, and Entrance Exam categories. Each category has different required fields so content can be searched and filtered accurately.
Yes. Sellers can respond to reviews left on their solutions, and those responses appear alongside the original review.
Reviews are monitored for abuse, spam, and irrelevant content. Reviews that violate the guidelines may be hidden by moderators.
