• Students create accounts through the mobile application or website registration flow
• Sellers apply through the Become a Seller page and receive account access after approval
• Users must provide accurate and complete information during registration

Account Security:
• Users are responsible for keeping login credentials confidential
• Sellers must change their auto-generated password on first login
• Users must notify BrainBoost of unauthorized use of their account

Account Ownership:
• Only the account holder can edit personal profile information
• Administrators cannot modify personal user data
• Only the account holder can request account deletion

4. User Conduct

Users must not:

  • Upload copyrighted material without proper authorization
  • Upload fraudulent, harmful, illegal, or misleading content
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Manipulate reviews, ratings, or platform metrics
  • Create multiple accounts to evade moderation actions
  • Attempt to bypass payment systems or access paid content without payment

Seller Content Standards:
• Question papers must be authentic past exam papers
• Solutions must be original, accurate, and of reasonable academic quality
• Content must not infringe intellectual property rights
• Content must be categorized correctly as Secondary School, University Course, or Entrance Exam
• Duplicate uploads are not permitted
• Sellers may not delete and re-upload content simply to inflate metrics

5. Moderation and Enforcement

Warning System:
• Administrators may issue warnings for policy violations
• Warning reasons are communicated to the affected user
• Users may receive up to 3 warnings before escalated action is taken

Account Suspension:
• Accounts may be suspended after repeated or serious violations
• During suspension, access is limited to the profile page only
• Suspension reasons, start dates, and end dates are recorded and communicated
• Accounts can be restored early by an administrator or automatically when the suspension period ends

Account Banning:
• Administrators may permanently ban accounts for severe or repeated violations
• Banned users retain limited visibility of their profile and ban status
• Appeals should go through the Contact page or the in-app support flow

Content Visibility During Restrictions:
• When a seller account is suspended or banned, their published solutions are removed from the marketplace
• Content is automatically restored if and when the account restriction is lifted
• Students who already purchased affected content retain access during their access period

Content Moderation and Flag Flow:
• Administrators may flag, remove, or delete content that violates platform rules
• Sellers can see flag reasons and may resubmit corrected content
• Moderation history is preserved and visible in the relevant workflow

Paper Deletion and Solution Impact:
• Removing a question paper also removes linked marketplace solutions
• Students who already purchased affected content retain access to what they bought during the access period
• Sellers are notified when removals affect their content

6. Payments and Transactions

Payment Methods:
• Payments are processed via Orange Money and MTN Mobile Money
• All prices are shown in Central African CFA Francs (XAF)

Platform Commission:
• BrainBoost retains a platform commission on each solution sale, as set in the seller dashboard
• The platform fee is always rounded up to the nearest whole franc (XAF); the seller receives the remainder

Upload Incentives:
• Sellers earn a one-time bonus the first time each question paper they uploaded is published on the platform
• If a paper is later unpublished and re-published, the incentive is not granted again
• Incentive amounts are set by BrainBoost and may change without prior notice
• Incentive earnings count toward the seller's available payout balance

Seller Payouts:
• Sellers may request payouts when they meet the minimum threshold
• Payouts are sent to the seller's registered mobile money account

Refunds:
• Refund eligibility is defined in the separate Refund Policy

7. Account Deletion

Self-Deletion:
• Students and sellers may request deletion of their own account
• A 30-day grace period applies during which the deletion can be cancelled
• After 30 days, personal data is anonymized in line with the Privacy Policy

Administrative Actions:
• Administrators cannot delete user accounts
• Administrators can only suspend or ban accounts as described in Section 5

8. Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of the content they upload. By uploading content, sellers grant BrainBoost a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content through the platform. BrainBoost respects intellectual property rights and will respond to valid infringement claims.

9. Limitation of Liability

BrainBoost is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The platform does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of uploaded content and is not liable for academic outcomes resulting from use of the service.

10. Changes to Terms

BrainBoost may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through active platform channels, and continued use after those changes means you accept the updated terms.

11. Contact

For questions about these Terms of Service, use the Contact page on the website or the in-app support flow. BrainBoost does not currently maintain separate public legal inboxes for policy questions.
